Design Guidance
Not sure how to go about making your art designs? Here are some tips for you.
Accepted File Formats Our preferred format for print-ready artwork file is EPS, PDF, PSD or Adobe Illustrator (AI) files. To make sure your design turns out precisely accurate, please use our plastic card design templates. They are cost-free and also offered in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Acrobat. Color Specification Our Heidelberg offset printing machine uses the industry-standard color mold CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) to create all the colors. So the most important thing when you are creating your artwork files is to make sure you are using the right color mode as the graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop by default use RGB colors instead of CMYK. We also accept Pantone Colors. Just specify the PMS code on your artwork when you finish the design. Font Outlining Font outlining means turn the text on your artwork into vector shapes. Why this matter? Because sometimes we may not have the same font as your computer, font outlining can make sure there won’t be any problems with a missing font, it will also avoid any legal issue regarding font transference.
